These pendants were so simple to make

These pendants were so simple to make. I used the existing down rod from the builder grade pendants & simply used the exsiting socket ring to measure the hole that I needed to cut out on the baskets. Using a saw bit on my dremmel I cut the hole for the socket. After that it was easy to slip the socket through the hole & screw on the socket ring. I used CFL bulbs because they are cooler than incandescent bulbs just so that there wasn’t excessive heat near the basket material. These light fixtures put out a lot of light and are just as bright as the old ones. If you do not have an existing down rod and light kit you can purchase them from Lowes or any hardware store for pretty cheap & the kits are really easy!
